Duties of Current Occupation
  • Riding, Teaching, overseeing care of 20+ show horses.
  • Provided assistance with veterinary care, medication management, nutrition.
  • Spent ample time as a working student, groom and an exercise rider for baby horses. (Age 2-4)
Equine Work Experience

I have 10+ years of experience in Hunt Seat Equitation with an emphasis on Hunters in particular. I began riding 12 years ago, but I have been working different jobs on and off in the horse industry for the past 6 years. I began as a working student, then I became a groom, an assistant trainer and an exercise rider. I have worked in Texas, New York and Florida, although my background began in New Hampshire.

Specialities

I am a hard-working, eager to learn individual and I pride myself in being able to adapt to new or different work-environments. I consider myself to be extremely patient and this has served me well in training (especially young) horses. I have work experience with horses of all ages, as well as stallions. I was successful in managing a rehabilitation program for Heritage Farm horses. I have also had great success in running a lesson program for several months.

Type of Ride Work

I have lots of experience riding a vast multitude of different horses, as I did not have my own horse for several years and rode anything and everything I was able to. I am very comfortable riding, schooling and showing everything from very green horses, all the way through schoolmasters and everything in between. I have extensive experience with flatwork and have schooled advanced coursework through 3'6.

Competition Details

When I was a junior I had very green horses- but they made me the rider I am today. I have competed in the 3’3 medals, Children’s Hunters and dabbled in the jumpers all over New England. After I began grooming and riding I traveled to Pin Oak, Devon, Saugerties, Vermont and spent the last 2 winters as an assistant in Wellington.
