I am going into my final year at the University of Connecticut as an Animal Science major with a minor in Equine Sports Rehabilitation.
Duties of Current Occupation
Some of duties across the years include: taking over for the manager/head instructor while she was on maternity leave, mucking, feeding, restocking hay, exercise riding, lunging, groundwork, treating behavioral problems, administering meds, and more!
Equine Work Experience
I am proud to say I have been in the horse world for 10 years now! I spent most of those years volunteering and eventually working as a stable hand, horse trainer (focusing on behavioral issues), and beginner instructor. While I am not yet licensed in equine massage therapy, I have been researching and practicing it for 4 years and have a handful of paying clients. I’ve worked at 5 barns across NJ and ridden at many more (dressage, hunters, eventing, polo). Equine welfare is my ultimate passion and I can guarantee only the kindest treatment towards your horse(s)!
