I have worked for over 25 years with horses . I've also worked as a caretaker of young horses at a standardbred farm. I genuinely love taking care of horses and have experience in all aspects of horse care.

I've been working with horses for 25 years, 16 of which I was managing a busy show barn. I currently work with standardbred racehorses and while I enjoy my job, I'm looking for a change of pace. I'm knowledgeable regarding veterinary care and comfortable administering any type of medication. I have experience with all ages of horses and work well with even the most difficult ones. I'm very self motivated and am capable of completing daily tasks and horse care without constant supervision. I can provide multiple references from vets, trainers, and people I've worked with. I'm looking for a quiet, fun barn atmosphere. I'm currently in NJ but would be willing to locate for the right job. I also come with two amazing dogs.

My experience includes grooming, lunging, first aid (including iv/I'm shots), working closely with vet and farrier, working with horses of all ages and temperaments. I will notice anything from the tiniest cut to a colicking horse and handle any situation appropriately and calmly. I'm comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. As a lifelong horse person, I'm used to putting in long days and doing whatever necessary to ensure the well being of the horses in my care.
