Duties of Current Occupation

I perform all general husbandry tasks, including feeding, medications, basic veterinary care including IM shots, pasture management (cleaning, mowing, weedwhacking), grooming, prepping horses for rides/clinics/shows, lunging, flatting, and hacking.

Equine Work Experience

I have managed boarding and lesson farms, a breeding farm with young stock and stallions, have been prime caretaker at an SPCA farm for a large neglect case, and currently manage a private farm of 8 horses for amateur eventers. I am great with starting young stock under saddle and giving them a gentle foundation.

Specialities

I have worked with foals, stallions, mixed herds, wild mustangs, OTTBs, behavioral and neglect cases. I have trained general caretaking staff and have helped implement efficiency programs into many farms. I have taught beginner riding lessons up to WTC and small crossrails. I am proficient in organization and specialty barn cleanings including de-cob webbing, scrubbing stall walls, power washing. Specialized in trailer loading and other behavioral issues using a gentle approach.

Type of Ride Work

I am primarily an English rider with a balanced soft seat and hands. I have basic knowledge of dressage, lower level eventing, and have jumped 3ft+ in a ring. I am happiest with youngstock creating a solid foundation on the flat, or out hacking in the woods and fields over a more structured riding routine. I am an endurance rider of LDs and recently a 50 mile race, and have also completed the 1000km Mongol Derby in July of 2022.
