Equine Work Experience
Besides my skills in marketing and management, I have been riding since I was 5 years old, primarily working with young/green horses in the disciplines of dressage, eventing, and show jumping. I have worked directly with New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program as a rider and assistant trainer for the NY Chapter. I have taught lessons to riders and enjoy teaching. I worked as the assistant coach for a non-profit program known as Driving for Surviving, where I helped teach adolescents in treatment for life-threatening illnesses to drive miniature horses. I also aided in the training of such horses. I have experience starting young horses and re-training, especially in the ottb/thoroughbred racehorse realm. Extensive barn management skills, I actually enjoy maintaining a tidy barn and impeccable stalls. I have patience for both green horses & riders and encourage my students to set their own goals & celebrate progress, no matter how small.
