Equine Work Experience
I am currently enrolled at SUNY Cobleskill for a degree in Animal Science BT with the equine Concentration. I work with horses hands on pretty much every day. Also, at school I am on the Varsity IHSA riding team. I have also been riding and showing horses for over 10 years, that comes along with grooming them and tacking them up myself. I do flatwork, hunter/jumpers, jumping up to 2'3" confidently. At my main barn I ride mostly OTTBs. With my lease I did have to give him oral medication before too. I have been doing stable chores for 5 years before school as well as currently in school.
Type of Ride Work
Flatwork, hunter/ jumpers.
Mostly 12+ yr old OTTBs, as well as Warmbloods. I also enjoy it when my trainer at my home barn puts on the horses that just come off of an injury and are easing their way back into work, or when she puts me on the younger/greener horses.
Competition Details
I have showed at IHSA shows, Vermont Summer festival, as well as home shows at the barn at ride at. At these shows you are a groom for yourself and your team if they need help.
