Duties of Current Occupation

Equestrian business owner over 18 years where I was Trainer/Coach, manager and caretaker of 2 to 3 employees, up to 36 horses at a time. I was responsible for all health care aspect of these horses plus maintained all barns, fencing, indoor arena

Equine Work Experience

I have been in the horse and veterinary business as a professional since I was 16 years old. Training young stock was how I started out. I progressed to showing Western then onto instruction. I changed to English riding at age 21 and have since specialized in the H/J world. As a vet tech I have assisted in surgery, am well schooled in the feeding and caring of horses and small animals.

Specialities

I specialize in the Hunter/Jumper field. Dressage is also a very key point that I take seriously. Most of my clients have been adults who are either first time riders or have had bad experiences in the past and are looking to start over with an instructor who is caring and considerate of their issues. My serious show riders consider me to be an excellent coach who has taken them to the top. I also have a love and care taking of chickens, goats, minis, donkeys, ducks and geese.

Type of Ride Work

I have done: driving harness race horses at a local track, ridden and trained Thoroughbred race horses. Trained horses from backing for the 1st time to finishing out "A" Hunters and Jumpers and Western pleasure QH and Arabians to World Class standards.

Competition Details

I have shown horses successfully at the QH Congress, I have also been a coach to my students at the same in the Jumper divisions. I coach at local and rated shows from "C" to "A". 4-H was a large part of my earlier years getting started and I use a lot of the standards of Pony Club for my young riders. I have shown at the World Class Kentucky Horse Park, Arabian Worlds and Pamona California show grounds along with the "A" shows in my home state of Ohio.
