Duties of Current Occupation
All aspects of caring for broodmares and newborn foals. I was responsible for broodmare care prior to, during and after foaling. I have been responsible for setting up and administering medications and treatments for multiple horses(30 or more).
Equine Work Experience
I have mainly worked with broodmares and foals. I have handled a few stallions but only to walk them outside or hold for Farrier. They were all older stallions. I foaled mares for 5 seasons at Royal Vista Ranches in Wayne Oklahoma. I did one season of sales prep. I have worked day shifts and 13 hour night shifts(alone) during foaling season. I have been responsible for treatments, weaning and all aspects of Equine care.
Specialities
I can work long hours alone. I have 8 years of experience foaling. I pay attention to detail and know when something is "off" with a horse. I have handled hateful recipient mares and I love every minute of it.
