Duties of Current Occupation

I have experience managing, grooming, and exercise riding for large training barns of varying disciplines (English and western barns).

Equine Work Experience

I’ve been exposed to horses from a very young age. My family has always supported my equestrian passion and did what they could to give me valuable experiences in the industry, making me a well rounded horseman. I worked for lessons and catch ride opportunities throughout my youth, and have continued to do so through college, gaining so much valuable knowledge that I now utilize daily as a groom and manager. As an adult I’ve worked under a Hunter-jumper trainer and in a reining barn until I’ve most recently focused on eventing, which is the path I plan to take my career as a groom and eventually an assistant to an upper level rider. However I look at working for any types of trainers as valuable to the growth of my career in this industry.

Specialities

I’m well rounded in most aspects of running a training barn (horse care, barn management, dealing with clients, etc.) From the barn aisle, to the office, to the horses, tack and equipment, I pride myself on keeping a tidy and functional barn. I’m also well versed in starting young horses (aka colt breaking) and general excercise riding. Other experience includes teaching lessons, filing/office management, social media work, and being reliable, honest, friendly and easy to work with.
