Duties of Current Occupation
This unique opportunities blends barn manager, eventing groom & vet tech knowledge. I personally handle 10 horses & their daily requirements. While assisting with surgeries, gastrointestinal scoping’s, dental work, AI, lameness exames, etc.
Equine Work Experience
I have worked in a professional setting for 6 years. Where I've learned how to safely, administer medication orally, intramuscular, intravenously, and occipitally.
Performing emergency farrier work including removing sprung shoes, tending abscess, and bruised souls and heels.
Treating wounds, sickness’, and emergency situations. Recognize impaction and gas colic’s, hives, choking, etc. while assessing each situation with professionalism, adaptability, and safety for the horses and myself.
Hacking advanced horses, tacking/untacking, cleaning tack and repairs, bathing/ grooming. Other show preparations.
Handling future event horses. Introducing groundwork and desensitizing to equip them with the necessary manners to succeed in eventing.

I also have training in equine biomechanics. Examining the importance of impulsion and targeting correct muscle groups to increase the longevity of the horse’s body. Understanding the skeletal system, muscle/tendon/ligament/fascia functions, central nervous system, and how these functions are interconnected.
