Duties of Current Occupation

Experience in working in a fast paced environment, including turning out horses, grooming and tacking up, making grain and meds for 20 head of horse. Tidying up the barn throughout the day, muck out stalls, horse clipping/mane pulling.

Equine Work Experience

*Equestrian/horsewoman for 15 years *CPR Certified *Grew up competing in the hunters but found my passion in eventing/dressage.

  • Solid skills in lower level eventing
  • Passionate about groundwork/horsemanship
  • Head instructor for beginner-Intermediate riders for 4 years
  • Worked as a groom under top dressage riders at 2 well known breeding farms
  • Confident in giving IM and Oral meds
  • Extensive experience pulling trailers (up to 35ft trailer)
Specialities

Assisted in foal births, foal watch, turn in/out, holding for vet. Confident handling foals, valid strength to securely hold foals learning to lead. Worked with colts and stallions of all ages/ temperaments. This includes training and breeding stallions. Last winter, I ran the 20 horse farm whilst everyone went to Florida to groom. I personally do not want to travel out of state to work so I stayed at the main farm. Ability to work efficiently both solo or with a team.

Type of Ride Work

Hunter background, currently ride eventing/jumpers. Confident flatwork rider with most experience in OTTBs.

Competition Details

I currently work as a training groom, traveling to shows including BGS, Dunmovin’, and Devon. The farm also hosts KWPN and Keurig shows, many shows throughout the season.
