Equine Work Experience
I have worked as both a ranch hand and a barn manager. I worked for a breeding facility for about a year, helping out with the foals, doing foal-watch, and pre-natal care for the mares until they gave birth. Over the years I've done basic care, grooming, braiding, leading, turning in/out, watering & feeding, bathing, lunging, long lining and breeding.
Specialities
I have my own horse that I have learned a lot from and for. I know how to halter and lead a horse. I have cleaned stalls, raked, swept, and watered, fed and bathed horses.
I am good at seeing what work needs to be done and delegating to get everything taken care of. I work well with others and well with the horses. I consider the animals family and treat them as such.
Type of Ride Work
I have a small amount of horseback riding, which includes trail riding and some arena riding. Although I will be honest, this is an area that I would like to improve in.
