Guiding horseback rides on a 122 acre property ranging from 1 hour to 4 hour rides Training young horses
I worked at Ironstone Farm in Andover Mass for over 7 years. Mostly assisting in therapy riding lessons for children and adults with varying social, physical and mental disorders. Helping them to learn vital life skills, heal from trauma and improve their overall well being. I was also responsible for caring for the horses. My responsibilities included
- turning in/out
- grooming and tacking before/after lessons
- cleaning gear and any cleanup that was needed in/around barns. -leading trail rides -mucking stalls -feeding and watering I do also have about 6 years of riding experience in both English and Western
