Duties of Current Occupation

Keeping our 80+ Andalusians on 240 acres of land safe, fed, watered, trained, and beautiful!! Doing all the main barn chores along with helping with any outside chores/projects to keep the barn looking pristine.

Equine Work Experience

-Been riding horses since I was 6 years old; Tennessee Walkers, Hunter Jumpers, and learning the ins and outs of ranch work all seasons

-Acquired AND Trained/broke 9-month-old colt using natural horsemanship when I was 12 years old; owned him for 7.5 years

-Currently work at Chapel Creek Ranch in Sanger, TX caring for, breeding, and training 80+ Andalusians for Medieval Times on 240 acres of land.

-Worked as a barn worker at an Equestrian Facility in Celina with 40+ horses. My duties included: feeding/watering, giving supplements and dietary needs, mucking out stalls, turn out/bring in from pasture, blanketing, sweeping, washing out water troughs in pasture, cleaning water buckets, and keeping barn clean. Traveled to horse shows to be the barn worker/groomer as well.

-Volunteered at small riding academy (as a show groom, barn worker, and applying makeup to riders for competition and styling hair for both horse/pony and rider) in Wisconsin for 7 months until I moved to Texas

Specialities

I LOVE working with young horses!!! We’ve got some wild ones on our lot but I love working with them equally as much as the calmer ones. I love watching them go from absolutely wild and frantic to super calm and loving by the time they leave our ranch to a Medieval Times Castle. I take great pride in getting to know all the horses and learning their quirks.
