Worked as a trainer for beginner riders and taught the basics of riding, flat work, and jumping. Was responsible for teaching children horsemanship and care of horses. Managed care - with a professional - a barn of 20+ horses and exercised horses.

Rode for 10 years and competed in the 1.20m competitions. Have won first place in Mini Prix competitions against professional riders and first place in money classes in the 1.20m (highest value of 7500).

Exercised 5 to 6 horses a day under the guidance of professional rider Walid Alrashid. Jumped several different horses and personally competed horses in 1.15m competitions. Worked in a high-stress competition environment as a show groom.

Jumped and flat worked several horses. Obtain a basic understanding of flat work (yielding, collection, and straightness). Handled the development of young horses, being soft and collected under the saddle. Jumped horses with low confidence and built their ability to jump higher fences and obtain more rideability for their riders.

Competed at shows in the Texas area. Competed three times in the Zone 7 championship and placed 6th and 3rd among 40 riders. Held high rankings in the 1 meter, 1.15m, and 1.20m and won several classics among these various heights. Worked as a show groom for a barn with 15 horses present and warmed up horses over fences at shows for clients/trainer. Competed against professional riders and won first place against professionals in Mini Prix competitions with a max height of 1.25m.
