Bio
Formerly a working student at Windchase Eventing in Hillsboro, VA. Looking for a step-up rider intern/assistant rider type position to learn more of being a horse trainer/rider.
Duties of Current Occupation

Basic daily horse care, learning to exercise ride racehorses, learning to train and exercise event, show jumping, and dressage horses.

Equine Work Experience

Ridden horses since October 2016, including green lesson horses, OTTBs, young and seasoned racehorses, well trained & green eventers, etc. Did general barn chores, lunged horses, did basic long reining, and galloped and handled young and seasoned racehorses at a private racing barn. Recently worked as a working student at Windchase Eventing in Hillsboro, Virginia, including exercise/basic training rides and lessons daily, and standard barn chores

Specialities

Handled and galloped young racehorses; began teaching OTTBs and green horses to jump and do the most basic dressage, and kept and gotten many lesson, sales, and lease horses in shape for their programs.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden horses in disciplines for Hunter jumper, jumper, equitation, eventing, dressage, show jumping, galloping and exercising racehorses, and basic western pleasure, barrel racing, and other rodeo events. I also have some experience conditioning horses.

Competition Details

I have competed at the Starter level of eventing, and up to 2' in hunter jumper and equitation competitions, as well as done the work of a groom (grooming, tacking, jump crew) in a show jumping and dressage competition stable. Have schooled consistently to Novice level of eventing, but on occasion have schooled jumping to prelim and some more complex dressage movements.
