Duties of Current Occupation

Riding horses, feeding, watering, administering medication/ supplements as needed, turnout, blanketing, handling foals, green horses, stallions, exercising horses, starting young horses, jump courses, beginner lessons, grooming and tacking up

Equine Work Experience

Worked at large Oldenburg breeding and boarding facility and event venue, large Connemara breeding facility and summer camp, large Hunter Jumper training facility, multiple upper level event barns for 5* riders, small private facility of former Olympian and family owned, high end Connemara sales barn.

Specialities

Worked with foals, stallions, broodmares, green horses, young horses. Ridden and trained young horses including stallions. Worked with a large variety of people including farm owners, trainers, managers, boarders, children, parents, barn hands, 5* event riders, vets, farriers etc. Able to manage barn staff. Groomed at 5* events. Very experienced with all basic barn chores. Assisted with breeding.

Type of Ride Work

Ridden problem horses, green horses, young horses, upper level event horses, former Olympic dressage horses, naughty ponies. Mostly eventing, but plenty of dressage. I have started several of my own horses and worked with a trainer starting clients young horses. Most recently had my own string of young horses at a sales barn that I started from the ground up.

Competition Details

Worked at large event venue assisting staff with preparing for recognized and schooling events. Also worked for several upper level riders, including several current 5* riders at International level events. I have trained several of my own horses over the past 8 years, bringing each up through the levels. I most recently took my project horse training level.
