Duties of Current Occupation

Thoroughbred Trainer, Farrier, Owner and Breeder. I have extensive experience in all facets of the Thoroughbred industry as well as farm management and development.

Equine Work Experience

I have a lot of experience from; Barrel Racing to Thoroughbred racing. I started out as a young child showing, then on to barrel racing. Went from barrel racing to Quarter Horse racing where I obtained a jockey license at the age of 16. My father trained and raised Quarter Horses. I went on to co-manage Melton's Breeding and Training Facility in Valdosta, GA. From there I was offered a job as a personal trainer for a owner in Lexington, Kentucky. I stayed in the Thoroughbred industry from that point, relocating back in Virginia. There I worked for Brian Hurst and took the smaller group of horses to Maryland and the Meadowlands. I also developed Deer Creek Farm in Powhatan, Virginia and continued in the breeding and training of Thoroughbreds. I have had a public training stable for the last 12 years, with the last couple of years training and raising my own horses, something I enjoy.
