Duties of Current Occupation
Triage, take patient history, fill prescriptions, assist in surgery, intubate and maintain patients on anesthesia, perform laboratory duties, maintain clean and sanitary clinic setting.
Equine Work Experience
10 years of professional equine experience. I have overseen both private facilities and busy show barns, ranging from 10-40 horses. Exceptional horsemanship skills and knowledge of equine wellness, first aid, nutrition, and maintenance. Solid understanding of facility needs and maintenance, from staff management to grounds and equipment upkeep. Comfortable handling all types and temperaments of horses, including foals. Experience recognizing and intervening/treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries (colics, soft tissue injuries, auto immune disorders, etc). Knowledge of proper bio-security practices. Comfortable administering all types of medications (IV, IM, SQ, oral) and applying/operating various therapeutic measures (Beamer system, Game Ready System, Vita Floor, equine treadmill, laser therapy, Centurion systems, wrapping, poultice, icing).

Type of Ride Work
Comfortable working horses on the flat, over poles and cavaletties. Solid understanding of riding with affective aids and in a manner than benefits the flexibility and fitness of the horse. Experience bringing horses through the various stages of rehabilitation after an injury, slowly and safely returning them to full work and recognizing the need to regress/pause when necessary for the horse's wellbeing. Experience with working young horses through groundwork.
