Equine Work Experience

Started riding at the age of 18 months, began showing at 5 years old. 10 years in the United States Pony Club. 1 year spent volunteering with an Off the Track Thoroughbred rescue. Assisting with riding, barn care, farm maintenance, transitions off the track, overseeing other volunteers. Volunteer time spent with Equine Assisted Therapy for children. Worked in small private barns as well as large boarding facilities. Including but not limited to feeding, stall mucking, grooming, lunging, riding, blanketing, hosing, injury care, pasture maintenance. Farm sitting for clients both short and long term; including daily care of horses, dogs, cattle, cats, garden, mail pick up, as well as house cleaning. Studied basic hoof care and trimming under local barefoot trimmer. Worked as an equine rehab specialist learning learning a high degree of knowledge of equine anatomy and first aid, working closely with and shadowing vets and farriers. I am certified in Equine Massage as well as KT Taping.
