Level 2 Horse Care and I have completed half of the Level 3 Horse Management Diploma, although due to personal reasons (happy to discuss comfidentially over a job) was unable to gain the qualification on paper.
During the two years at Equine College I tended to all my horses from the morning until finishing in the evening. Duties include general activity such as feeding, grooming, health checks, bathing, exercising (mostly loose schooling), riding etc.
Although never being fortunate enough to fully own my own horse due to financial reasons, i have grown up around and devoted my life to horses since being introduced to them around the age of 4 and begun riding around 5/6 hears old. Horses are my biggest passion and every day spent with them is well and truly appreciated, and as much as i love riding, it is not necessary for any job as i feel the most important part is caring for the horse itself. I spent most of my time turning up at my yard early before riding lessons to help and staying late after for the same reason, this is where i begun picking up my experience as a child with horses. I did this for many years before finally being old enough to attend college-
I have spent two years at equine college where i have learnt more and improved older skills. I have now left and looking for full or part time work with horses.
Unfortunately never been able to attend proper training for dressage which I would have loved, but open to training in the discipline if any training is offered with a job position. Although it is not important to ride for a job, yard work is fine!
