I began in the Industry at an Irish Draught stud where I worked with broodmares, foals and quiet stallions.
I then worked at Talland for 3 years where I handled competition horses and school horses of varying ages and temperaments. I rode these horses, lunged a range of livery horses and did daily stable duties
I began at college yard where I worked as a Teaching Support Officer on the Equine Yard. Within this role I worked with students and horses to aid in the daily running and maintenance of the yard and horses. I was also responsible of the maintenance of the Equine Therapy Centre which meant I handled client horses for use of our treadmill or Hydrotherapy. I am currently working towards a qualification in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
I have lead teams on yards and previously been in sole charge.
I am have teaching experience.
I have worked on large yards which comprise of competition yards and a riding school.
I have worked with rehab equipment and have a good foundation knowledge
I have assessed horses for clients or use within the riding school/ college environment
I work hard to better my riding and am keen to develop this.
I spent 3 years training and working at Talland where I had the opportunity to train on a range of horses within Dressage which is my passion. Whilst at Talland I worked hard to gain my stage 3 and I would like to continue to develop and gain my BHS II which is a long term goal.
Since leaving Talland I have worked on a college yard and have been responsible in schooling/trying a range of college horses for ridden work in the school.
I have competed unaffiliated at Elementary Level, I have ridden in several drill rides at my previous dressage yard.
I have not owned my horse which means my competition record is not vast. I have ridden a range of schoolmasters at my previous yard and have worked towards my BHS exams at the yards I have worked at.
I also enjoy taking a range of horses to dressage clinics.
