Also I have attained my Pony Club B test and BHS Riding and Road Safety.
Any and all yard work or exercising horses, have had experience both with and riding youngsters and breaking horses in too.
I have been an active member of Fife Hunt Pony Club since I was 10 years old and have my current B test which I atained earlier on this summer, I am now working towards the A test and am studing Equine Vererinary Nursing at Hartpury University.
Having left school I took a year out to gain more experiance and to earn money so I have a part time job on a race yard, Nick Alexader's, National Hunt yard whereby I completed all basic yard duties such as mucking out, sweeping, feeding, measuring out hay and giving it to the horses, tack cleaning was also involved as well as putting horses on and off the walker. I rode out a lot during the winter when there was a lot of horses in work and I was needed.
I also had another part time job working with an eventer and another few retired horses, here I also had the occasional shift in the Tack Shop my boss owned depending if there was a shortage of staff or any emergencies.
I have had opportunities to ride a lot of National Hunt horses at Nick Alexander's over the winter months where I was working throughout the year.
I also have two horses of my own which I compete both at Pony Club and British Eventing, having an all round taste to everything. Over the past year I have mainly focused on the eventing side with some other Pony Club activities throughout too.
I have competed both in teams and individually at Pony Club Championships for the past four years running, 2014/2015 and 2016 were all on my pony Eclipse who I backed myself when he was a younster as I bought him as a two year old. We have won the eventers challenge at Hopetoun Horse Trials and we have won many other local competitions over the years. I have also evented at BE100 level with my Horse this past year and we plan on moving up to BE Novice in the next year or so.
