Equine Work Experience
Been riding for 10+ years, recently graduated with a degree in BSc(Hons) Equine Science at Hartpury College. As part of my degree I did a semester abroad in America where I rode and handled a variety of horses and some of the modules I studied included equine behaviour, exercise physiology and I gained an equine massage qualification. I have completed my BHS stage one, Ride and Road Safety and BHS Stage 2 exam. I did work experience at a racing yard where my duties included exercising the racehorses on the gallops and out hacking. At my current job, as well as handling the horses on the ground I also have weekly staff training lessons where I am expected to school the horses to improve their way of going and hack them out on the roads. I have my own mare, who I have recently started competing and I am hoping to start eventing with her this summer. I am very friendly, organised, enthusiastic, neat and punctual.
