I have been able to pursue my personal passion for horses and while in England, I have completed my BHS Stage 1, 2 and 3 exams in under a year, and with distinction. I have also successfully taken my PTT becoming a BHSAI. I also have BHS Skillbase First Aid Training and have attended the BHS/BEF Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop.

I am a qualified BHSAI. My weekly role includes teaching and carrying out all normal yard duties to a high standard at our busy equestrian centre. This role includes some sole charge responsibility. I also act as a mentor to pupils.
I am a qualified BHSAI. My weekly role includes teaching and carrying out all normal yard duties at our busy equestrian centre. This role includes some sole charge responsibility. Within my role i look after upto 12 horses and delegate appropriate duties to other members of staff. I am happy as part of a team or stepping up. When in periods of sole charge, I am responsible for the daily routine of the horses, managing feeding schedules, exercise regimes and stable and yard duties, reporting anything necessary to the Stable Manager whom is off site. In addition to my current role, during the last six months, I have been working for a family run yard of a former Olympian rider and his wife, a top show rider, who are the producers of competition horses in various disciplines. This role has included all normal yard duties to a very high standard, riding and lessons. I have also groomed for them at shows.
I have a very sound knowledge base. My dedication, work ethic and attention to detail set me apart from other applicants. I have a great sense of humour and team spirit. My particular strengths include: turnout to a high standard and all normal yard duties, lunging, clipping, plaiting, show turn out, feeding, managing the needs of stable and grass kept horses, loading/unloading horse walker, some assisted stallion handling. I adapt to individual horses needs.
I ride on a regular basis at our busy equestrian centre. My role involves taking students on hacks and schooling horses. I often have private lessons and am coached by a fellow of the BHS. I am dedicated to continued professional development and improving. I take the opportunity to compete when i can and enjoy all spheres of equestrian but dressage in particular. I am a sympathetic rider that adapts to each horses needs to improve their way of going.
I am a member of both Vale of Arrow and Bromyard Riding Clubs, regularly attending equestrian clinics, various club dressage competitions and BD Quest throughout the year. I also enjoy showing and have started attending shows this season. Historically in New Zealand i competed regularly attending ODE's and various competitions. I was a member of the Waimate Inter-Schools Equestrian Team and was an avid member of the Pony Club.
