Bio
Preferably pets allowed as have a small dog that would need to come with me, lives with my at my current job. Also own horse welcome preferably, as I own a TB mare.

various GCSE's and A levels. First Aid. NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Horse Care and Breeding.

Duties of Current Occupation

Sole Charge, turning in and out, feeding, grooming, mucking out, exercising (Lunging, free schooling, riding, hacking ect), getting ready for and escorting to competitions, handling stallions, handling youngstock

Equine Work Experience
  • i worked at a riding school/livery yard for a few months

  • then went on to work at a stud farm for 3 years (as head competiton groom while training for NVQs in breeding) where i learnt about breeding and turning out to a high standard for competing, mainly for SJ and showing. currently working at a private dressage yard as head groom (for around a year so far) where i am learning more about turning out to a high standard, improving my plaiting and clipping and also more about sole charge and having high standards in the yard, and a sense of responsibility.

  • from owning my own horses.

Specialities

Sole charge, Foaling/foal watch (foaled around 9 mares safely to date), stallion handling, semen collection, preparing mares for AI, foal/youngstock handling, escorting to shows (showing local to county level/stallion gradings/showjumping/dressage), turning out to a high standard including- clipping, pulling, trimming, bandaging, plaiting.

Type of Ride Work

Flatwork and jumping.

Competition Details

only competed local showjumping clear rounds and classes of around 65cm - 85cm, on my old horse. Current horse isn't rideable currently so not competing.
