Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management - Merit Berkshire College of Agriculute, Maidenhead
In my 12 years of riding, I have aquired the knowledge of stable management. I have volenteered in riding schools to assist with the stable management and also completed a week of work experince at a riding school.I also have loaned 2 horses. I am confident in all horse care, which include, mucking out straw, shavings and wood pellet bedding, tacking up and untacking, grooming, clipping, show preperation, first aid such as bandaging and taking temprature, preparing feeding, leading, grooming, bathing, turning out, catching in, picking out feet, general yard clealiness, travel safety, fitting tack and rugs, putting on rugs, and worming, to say a few! I understand the necessity of stable care, as this leads to the healthy and happy life of a horse, as most of the hard work is on the ground. I am also physical fit and I am able to carry hay bales, shaving bales, and straw bales. In the Summer of 2016, I worked as a riding instructor at a summer camp in Virginia, USA.
I am a novice rider but unfortunely due to some falls I am a very nervous rider. I am working on my confidence as I am back riding. I can walk trot canter and gallop. I am a calm and placid rider and I have been complemented on my riding posture and told by a qualified riding instructor that once I gain my confidence back I should begin competing. I am very open to training and wanting to progress in my riding and begin jumping/everting.
