Duties of Current Occupation

From September until May I attend lectures and study for my degree in Psychology. Additionally, I am studying Spanish (language) on top of my degree.

Equine Work Experience

I have extensive knowledge in equine care and my riding ability is advanced. I have owned many different horses throughout my life, until July 2014 where I was forced to sell my two horses and two yearlings to move to London. I have experience in bringing on and training youngsters, as well as exercising and caring for horses on a day to day basis. My duties included; mucking out, grooming, exercising (hacking/schooling), feeding, maintaining equipment (tack/rugs, etc), boxing and competing. I have worked at riding schools part time caring for the horses, teaching beginner lessons and generally helping with the upkeep of the stables, fields and yards. I was also a member of the Pony Club for three years where I took my road safety test and competed in several competitions.

Specialities

I am a competent, experienced rider and have a deep passion for horses and equine care. I am responsible, calm and patient - traits, which I feel are important when caring for animals. I am highly observant and can easily recognise potentially dangerous situations where the welfare of the horse or rider could be at risk. I work excellently individually or as part of a team, and thoroughly enjoy being part of a riding community.

Type of Ride Work

I'm experienced in nearly all types of exercising practices, including, hacking, schooling and lunging at an advanced level. I have some experience in natural horsemanship and free reining. My competition experience is very extensive, ranging from gymkhana's to 2 day eventing.
