In 2014 I met an Aboriginal man who generously shared his lifelong love of horses. I had weekly lessons with him, very much influenced by the work of natural horseman Monty Roberts. We worked together on a 6 month weekly program with young Indigenous men from a behaviour program and with homeless Indigenous young men. I spent 6 months living with a herd in a caravan on the Far South Coast of NSW, Australia and 3 months farm sitting, at another nearby property, with another herd as well as other animals: 2,3 and 4 leggeds! In the last few years I have completed several equine clinics, a week of equine assisted learning training, attended a day's equine assisted psychotherapy training and am currently a volunteer with the autumn 2016 Monty Roberts Tour of the UK. I have been privileged to work with thousands of children and young people in my life as well as many adults I love being in nature and have lived in some very beautiful, wild places in both the UK and Australia
I rode a little as a child. I have ridden both Western and English yet have far more experience of groundwork. I am keen to now progress my ridden work. I took lessons at a Central London stables last year and had the opportunity during 2014-5 to spend time with several different horse people, learning experientially from them and having the chance to work with a variety of remedial horses.
