Equine Work Experience
I have experiance working with my own horses and working with the lauderdale hunt for three years. I was with the hunt for my weekly wonk placement for the three uears i was studying Animal Care at Borders College.
I would usually help out around the yard and do basic duties like mucking out, cleaning buckets and tack etc. I would also help with exercising the seven horses there one horse Dougal was a challange to ride at first as he was simply so strong but i managed and gained control using the tips that Victoria (Huntsmans girlfriend and who i worked with while i was there) tought me. There was many different types of horses at the hunt, ones who where always easy going to the youngster Damian, not long before the huntsmen left for another job I started riding Damian who was a 6 year old thoroughbred and who had been brocken the week before. At first I was nurvous of riding him but he turned out to be a fantastic horse who i really enjoyed to ride.
