I am working towards my BHS stages and currently in my second year as a student studying a level 3 college course in Horse Management.
Equine Work Experience
Since I was 10, I have been horse crazy. I started getting experience by helping at a riding centre for 2 years. I did my work experience at a riding school / livery yard when i was at secondary school which broadened my knowledge of horse care. I am now currently doing a Level 3 college course doing Horse Management which teaches all about the competition world and all about the horse that i did not know before. I get to flat and jump a lot of different horses to widen my experience with them. I also got taught how to clip, muck out to a high standard and the general day to day running of a busy yard. I now want to go on and work on a yard to get even more experience.
I can plait, trim and pull to a good standard. Happy to ride any horse whether its hacking or schooling. Able to muck out and do all yard duties in good timings.
I occasionally compete on my own horse doing showjumping either at my current yard or nearby arenas. I also compete on the horses at college doing either dressage, showjumping or showing.
