Equine Work Experience

I started riding when I was 6, I learned to ride Western in Phoenix, and started working at the stable I was riding at. My chores consisted of feeding/watering horses, letting horses out, brushing, cleaning their feet, and cleaning stalls. I switched over to English and started taking Jumping lessons. I continued until I went to college in 2012, then started taking Hunter lessons in 2014. At College the curriculum revolved around Hunt Seat/Dressage and Western. Working in Wyoming during college I gained experience with working cow horses, I started out cleaning stalls at my job there but then progressed to working with horses. I started 6 colts from the ground to the saddle during my time there and also spent time working with green horses. I worked at another Boarding Stable while in Wyoming, mostly cleaning stalls and doing yard work. I also did some volunteer work at a program for trouble teens, helping assist. teach/give adivce in their Horse Riding Program.
