In my current occupation, my main duties include driving to client's homes and caring for their animals needs while they are out of town or otherwise unavailable.

My first job as a teenager was for a horse boarding facility that housed 16 horses of various sizes, ages, and breeds. My job was to feed all of these horses, turn them out to pens or pasture, clean stalls and pens, sweep and dust offices and barn areas, make sure all water buckets were clean and fresh, and administer basic first aid as needed. While employed here, I have administered topical ointments as instructed to horses recovering from tumor removal surgery and eye trauma, as well as treated and bandaged small lacerations. I have also previously been in a live-in position where my role was to provide care for four horses, a donkey, and several cattle. My role in this job was similar, with the added responsibilities of bringing in a small herd of cattle every night to feed and keep safe from coyotes. I was also responsible for using a tractor to replace hay for both the cattle and horses.

I have had lessons in mostly English riding on and off since I was 5 years old. I have dabbled in eventing, but would consider myself still a very inexperienced rider. Growing up my parents did not have the money for consistent lessons, so as a teenager and young adult I have sought to create my own opportunities to learn and grow.
