The City of London Police Mounted Branch is a dedicated team of officers and staff committed to enhancing public safety within the City of London. This specialised team plays a crucial role in both crime prevention and community engagement to make the city a safer place. The team are responsible for the daily care, welfare, and training of police horses. This includes feeding, grooming, exercising, and monitoring the health of each horse to ensure they are fit for duty. The Mounted Branch conducts regular patrols throughout the City of London. These patrols are designed to prevent, deter, and detect crime, providing a visible and reassuring presence in public spaces. In addition to this Officers participate in a variety of ceremonial events, representing the City of London Police at official functions, parades, and public gatherings as well as being deployed during public order events.
