Breeding Assistant (Full-Time) - Turnhout

About the Farm One of Europe's leading Arabian horse breeding and training centers, internationally recognized for excellence in breeding, veterinary care, and show horse training. Our facility is home to some of the world's most prestigious Arabian horses. With dedicated breeding, stallion, and show training departments, an in-house veterinarian, and a state-of-the-art reproduction laboratory, we are seeking an experienced Breeding Assistant to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain breeding and veterinary records.
• Assist the veterinarian with reproductive examinations, ultrasounds, breeding procedures, and treatments.
• Support the Breeding Manager with laboratory and daily breeding activities.
• Coordinate breeding schedules.
• Monitor mares throughout pregnancy.
• Assist during foaling and care for foals and young horses.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and communicate breeding updates to management.

Candidate Profile

• European passport or valid EU work authorization.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in an equine breeding, veterinary, or stud farm.
• Strong hands-on experience with mares, foals, and breeding operations.
• Experience assisting veterinarians during reproductive procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Calm, reliable, and confident handling valuable breeding stock.
• Good spoken and written English.

Preferred

• Experience handling breeding stallions.
• Experience in an equine reproduction laboratory.
