We are looking for a working student to join us this fall in September and October, with flexible start/end dates. Our farm is in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, two hours from Winnipeg.

Hours are flexible and it is possible for someone to do school online or work part-time elsewhere at the same time. This is primarily a riding job, riding 3+ horses per day plus grooming, tacking up, lunging, & bathing the horses you ride as needed.

Other duties include setting jumps, and evening chores 4 nights per week for a small number of indoor horses (can be done in ~30 minutes.)

Position includes a monthly stipend, daily lessons, housing on property and the opportunity to show with entry fees covered.

Additional opportunity to teach a few beginner lessons (paid position) if desired.

Requirements

Looking for someone who is comfortable handling and flatting horses unsupervised.

We are a small, private hunter/jumper facility with 15 horses located in Kenora, Ontario, two hours east of Winnipeg. We have 7 horses in full-time work and compete at MHJA horse shows in Winnipeg and select A shows in the US. Housing is on property.
