Founded in 2003 by Bartabas in the Great Stables of the Palace of Versailles, the Académie Équestre de Versailles represents a major innovation in the field of live performance. A prestigious institution of higher education, it combines the art of Haute École dressage with various artistic disciplines such as fencing, dance, singing, and Kyudo (Japanese archery). At the Académie, the riders develop a genuine artistic sensitivity that enables them to contribute to creative productions and cultivate their own repertoire, as showcased in the performance La Voie de l’Écuyère. Presented every weekend and renewed annually in different editions, this emblematic show of the Académie Équestre de Versailles evolves continuously, enriched by the refinement of the horses and the progress of their riders.

Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to join the Académie Équestre de Versailles as apprentice riders and to benefit from the artistic training required to take part in the performance. We are looking for riders between the ages of 19 and 30. The Académie welcomes riders with a solid foundation in classical dressage, and experience in dressage or eventing competitions, or in equestrian shows.

Accommodation is provided by the Académie.

It is important to commit for 3 to 4 years, as the Academy is a place of training. You need to be interested in artistic disciplines and performing arts.

A mobile-home can be provided.

Singing, dance, fencing, kyudo, and horseback riding lessons are provided free of charge. Accommodation is available. You are also paid for weekend performances of the repertory show.
