We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced groom to join our private dressage stable with immediate effect.
This is specifically a groom position, not a riding position. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for the daily care and wellbeing of horses and is confident handling different types of horses.
Our stable is home to high-quality dressage horses, ranging from young horses to advanced horses competing at S-level, as well as broodmares, foals and retired horses.
- Feeding and providing daily care for the horses
- Mucking out stables and maintaining a clean and organised yard
- Turning horses out and bringing them in from the paddocks
- Grooming and preparing horses for training
- Assisting with the care of competition horses
- Monitoring the horses’ health and wellbeing
- Cleaning tack and equipment
- Supporting the general daily routine of the stable
The ideal candidate should have professional experience working with horses, be confident handling young and fit sport horses, and be able to work independently. Reliability, attention to detail and a genuine love for horses are essential.
Applicants must understand that stable work is physically demanding and includes regular weekend duties.
