Yard Help – Wyanstown Sport Horses

Wyanstown Sport Horses is looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced person to join our yard team.

Duties will include:

• Mucking out and keeping stables tidy
• Grooming, brushing and washing horses
• Picking out feet
• Turning horses out and bringing them in
• Tacking up
• Lunging
• General yard and horse care
• Occasionally helping at shows

We are looking for someone who is confident and experienced around horses, particularly sport horses, with good handling skills and a genuine passion for their care.

Show experience would be an advantage. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.

We are looking for someone with current, hands-on experience working with horses, not simply someone who has been around horses in the past.

The successful person must be confident and competent handling horses and able to carry out the day-to-day duties independently, including mucking out, grooming, picking out feet, turning out and bringing in, tacking up and lunging.

Experience with sport horses is preferred. You must be confident around horses, understand safe handling and have a good eye for their care and behaviour.

This role would suit someone who genuinely works with horses regularly and understands what is involved in running a busy sport-horse yard.
