Margo's Garden seeks an experienced trainer with entrepreneurial spirit to lead our Horse Department in south-west Hokkaido—Japan’s powder capital.

You'll manage budgeting, staff, and daily operations for a stable of three horses and two ponies. The focus is guest safety and enjoyment (mostly beginner tourists), excellent animal welfare, and supporting a small, dedicated team.

You Are: Fluent in English (required)

A trainer with 2+ years’ experience (preferred)

Familiar with snowy conditions (preferred)

Respectful of Japanese culture

Bonus: Mandarin, Japanese, Thai, or Cantonese speaker

Independent, calm under pressure, guest-focused

Responsibilities (with support): Animal Ops

Horse care, feeding, training, hygiene

Stable, tack & equipment upkeep

Vet, farrier, vaccine schedules

Procurement (horses, feed, tools)

Hay/fence/field/trail maintenance

Business Ops Budgeting & reporting

Product development

Marketing, B2B, guest commissions

Riding school curriculum

Accident protocols

Staff, systems, inventory
