Looking for a fun, friendly groom / nanny who has plenty of energy, is organised and confident to take sole responsibility. Role is in the family home near Thame, Bucks / Oxon boarder from where we run a number of rural businesses. We also spend time on coast in Devon.

Groom role is to care for the private family yard of 4 ponies and 1 horse – beautiful yard and well behaved ponies. All usual yard duties to be covered including turning out, bringing in, mucking out, feeding, grooming, tack cleaning, liaising with farrier, vet etc. Keep yard organised and tidy. Assist with children’s riding – taking them hacking, getting them ready for lessons, Pony Club competitions (PC, NSEA, hunter trials and occasional hunting). Riding opportunities for the right person – x2 14.2hh PC ponies to keep fit / schooled for competing and 6 year old 15.3hh to bring on. Confident to drive trailer / 3.5tonne box.

Home is relaxed and informal. The children are 12, 10 and 7 years old, are at school in Oxford, enjoy sports and being outdoors - riding, rugby, hockey, triathlon, swimming and the beach. During term time it will be helping with school runs and after school clubs / homework / tea time. Light house work (we have a cleaner who three times a week.)

Full time Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work by prior arrangement. Hours – School term time 8.30am until 7.30pm with 2 hours off for lunch break. School holidays 8.30am until 5.30pm. Overnight stay or babysitting once a week. Occasional stay over for extended periods to house / pet sit while we are away. Live in or if local live out. Live in – spacious two bed village property with garden. A confident driver is essential, a car may be provided for work purposes. A competitive salary can be offered for a candidate with a good level of experience across all areas.
