Small family yard requires a live in Groom to care for 3 horses, 2 goats, 2 pigs and a handful of ducks

As this is a part time role, requiring 3 hours per day across early morning and late afternoon (with + 2 hours felixible each week) there is the opportunity to find supplementary work to this.

Key responsibilities:- • Care for 3 horses: feeding, mucking out, turning out, and general welfare. • Care for 2 goats, 2 pigs and 6 ducks, mucking out and general welfare • Maintain yard cleanliness and safety standards. • Assist with basic horse care (grooming, tack cleaning, minor first aid). • Administer medications or treatments as required (if applicable). • Monitor horse health and report any concerns. • Assist with occasional riding or lungeing (if skilled). • Perform light yard duties (e.g., cleaning stables, refilling water troughs). • Maintain records (e.g., feeding schedules, health logs). • Assist with loading/unloading horses for vet visits or competitions (if required). Person Specification: • Experience with horse care and stable management. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather. • Reliable, trustworthy, and passionate about horse welfare. • Basic knowledge of horse health and first aid (desirable but not essential).

Accommodation: self contained flat 5. mins walk from yard. Utilities included. Use of quad bike and truck for yard duties. Preferable to have own car for personal use. Stable available for own horse.
