Distillery Stud one of the top privately owned NH studs in the UK requires a full time stud groom for short term employment, holiday cover from middle of August - end of September (we can offer accommodation in one of our 2 bedroom holiday cottages for this period). With the high possibility of a permanent position ongoing. We are situated in a beautiful part of S.W. Scotland (1 mile from town).

Applicants must be confident & capable of handling mares, foals & young horses. Must have previous experience in a professional yard preferably stud or racing but not essential.

There is a lot of variety in the job, duties will include general yard work, feeding young stock, helping with vet & farrier visits, with foaling, sales prep, attending sales and sole charge when required.

Must be able to drive a quad bike and tractor driver experience would be advantageous.

Accommodation tidy, clean 2 bedroom mobile home on secure site if required (free rent).
