5 days per week We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Full-Time Groom to join our professional showjumping yard from November. This is an exciting and varied position working within a high-quality yard, with a particular focus on the care, education and development of foals, yearlings and young horses, alongside the day-to-day management of retired and rehabilitating/injured horses.

The position will involve all aspects of the day-to-day care and management of the horses, alongside keeping the yard running smoothly: • Handling and educating foals, yearlings and young horses • Helping youngsters develop excellent manners and confidence from the ground • Supporting their progression through the different stages of their early education • Grooming and general yard duties to a high professional standard • Assisting with the management and rehabilitation of injured horses • Caring for retired horses and maintaining their health, condition and wellbeing • Working closely with the wider team to ensure consistently high standards throughout the yard • Ensuring the yard runs smoothly at all times, to include all the ordering of feed/supplements etc, arrangement of appointments (eg vet/farrier) and communication with owner

We are particularly interested in someone who has substantial previous experience working with foals and young horses, ideally within a professional sport-horse, showjumping, breeding or production environment.
