Job Summary We are seeking an Assistant to support various tasks in a dynamic environment. The role involves being stable yard based, Mucking out, Sweeping, general yard duties, Arena maintenance and some groundwork.
Responsibilities mucking out/bedding down/ skipping out/ set fair/ a set number of stables each day, & other general yard duties.
Daily harrowing of arena and general maintenance
Occasional general ground works ( Mowing/ strimming etc)
Start date: 26th May 2026
Due to sad departure of our current team member.
Live in or out 6 days a week, over a split shift.
CV and references required, proof of eligibility to work in the UK, together with an enhanced DBS check.
A short trial period will be required. The successful candidate will receive a good package to include their wage, accommodation if required and tuition towards BHS qualifications, if you would like. ( Our current person came with Stage 2 teach, and has completed his Stage 3, Stage 3 Coach and worknig towards his Stage 4, there would also be teaching opportunities for a person of similar level)

Equestrian Employer Details
Founded by the late Mrs Molly Sivewright FBHS, FABRS, FiH, Colonel Sivewright and Mrs PK Ryder Richardson. In 2018, The Talland School of Equitation, a British Horse Society (BHS), and Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) approved training, assessment and livery centre celebrated its 60th year of training students for their equestrian qualifications. The school is now run by Pammy Hutton FBHS, (Mrs Sivewright eldest daughter), her husband Brian Hutton (BHSI), and their daughter, Pippa El Derby. Talland has between 80 + horses, from youngsters to well-trained experienced schoolmaster offering students the opportunity to gain experience at all levels. Talland is the only UK riding school which is an Home Office Approved Student Sponsor. We are accredited by the ISI and we have a mixture of UK national, and international students. Both male and female aged 16 & 30, on accredited BHS Career courses.
