Successful candidate must be competent rider, have knowledge of all aspects of equine care and with a can-do attitude. Driving licence essential, HGV / trailer licence desirable. Private family yard in beautiful location, 7m from Abergavenny, 10miles from Monmouth. All members of the family ride, with two adult sons and a daughter, all in their early twenties, particularly keen on hunting with local packs and visiting farther afield. Hunting available for the right candidate on own horse, or one of ours. Point to Pointers are in training, but summer with us and need to be bought back into work from midsummer onwards. Self contained flat available with double bedroom, sitting room, dining room, kitchen and shower room and outside space. Flexibility is key, on both sides, but successful applicant needs to be self motivated, able to manage occasional part time help, as well as organising all day to day equine administration, booking farriers, vets and ordering bedding and feed for example. Present groom has been with us for 5 years and is leaving as she would like to diversify.
