Yard Groom Wanted – All-Round Support Role
We’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable all-rounder to join our team! This varied role is perfect for someone confident and capable around horses, who enjoys hands-on work and is happy to turn their skills to a range of tasks including:
We’re looking for someone who enjoys the outdoor lifestyle, loves dogs and horses, and ideally has an interest in trail hunting and/or bloodhounding. The role may include early morning hound exercise and Autumn hunting preparation, so a flexible and motivated approach is important.
You’ll need to be able to manage your own time and get jobs done in an efficient, self-motivated manner, usually working independently but also as part of a small, supportive team.
We value a proactive, hard-working approach and a good sense of humour – no two days are the same!
• Working hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM with a 3-hour lunch break, hours may vary for hunting/events but overtime pay/time off in lieu awarded • 6 days per week, with one weekday off • 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays) • One-bed self-contained annex accommodation included • Use of heated swimming pool • Well-behaved dog or cat welcome • Opportunity to bring your own horse • Driving licence not essential, but own transport is preferred due to rural location • Male and female candidates equally encouraged to apply

Requirements
• General stable duties – mucking out, feeding, turning out, grooming, etc. • Clipping & Plaiting – tidy turnout is essential • Riding – hacking, schooling, or exercising as required • Dog Sitting – occasional help with dogs on site • Light Housekeeping – occasional help keeping the main house clean and tidy in the owner's absence – preferred but not essential • General Maintenance – fencing, minor repairs, and upkeep • Farm Equipment Use – experience with ATVs/quads and basic field or yard machinery is a big plus
