We are looking for a Groom/Rider. Equine experience is essential, confident rider (BHS Stage 2+ preferred), Would consider an apprentice with good equine experience. Must be willing to occasionally assist in the small- animal veterinary practice. Primarily admin duties to cover holidays and sickness abscences.

The Role

• Small family competition yard, competing Eventing, Dressage & Show Jumping
• Some sole charge, responsible for 4 horses and 1 pony
• Hacking, Exercising, Lunging. Confident and capable to ride fit competition horses.
• Preparing and Turning out horses for Competitions
• Confident and willing to work alone
• Carrying out all yard and field duties
• Caring for other animals: Alpacas, family dogs and even an occasional litter of puppies

The Person We are looking for an experienced, flexible and confident person to join our yard.

• Ability and confidence to handle large fit horses
• Have own car (Rural location)
• Comfortable working alone without continuous supervision
• Have high standards in your work to maintain a tidy yard and tidy horses

Average 5 day week. Alternate weekends.

Opportunity to combine working on a small family yard with competition horses , dogs and Alpaca . Flexible hours up to full time
