Rehabilitation Groom Position – 5.5 day week Marston stud Equine Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation.

This is a non-riding position within our specialist Equine Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation centre on the Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire border. Our facilities include an FMBs Water Treadmill & Spa and ECB Saltwater spa which we offer on an In-patient & walk-in basis. We specialise in the Race & Performance horse, having many top-level clients using our services. Our inpatients needs can vary from fitness & strength training to full cycle rehabilitation including box rest / post-surgical care.   Role: Your day to day role will be mixed and varied and will include working both on the yard and on the water treadmill and spa, where full training will be given.

Key duties include:

• Daily care, grooming, feeding, health monitoring
• Assisting with Hydrotherapy sessions
• Holding for/ assisting Vets, Physios, farriers
• Handling a range of horses including fit Race/sport horses & those recovering from injury or surgery.
• Maintaining high standards of care and organisation

Requirements:

• Calm, patient, and attentive approach
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering a high level of care
• You must be confident handling fit race and sport horses.
• An Interest in rehabilitation and equine therapy
