Looking for an additional motivated team member with high standards and a great attitude to client service.
The position suits someone with experience in Pony Club or British Eventing who aims to groom at competitions or compete their own horse at BE, BSJA or Cotswold Cup in 2025. There may be opportunities to groom at domestic & international events.
Applicant would need to demonstrate ability to participate as a team member and manage a number of horses. Candidates are required to carry out daily routine yard tasks & grooming for competition and client horses.
The business is owned by Bruce Haskell. Bruce is an international 5* event rider with a wealth of experience producing young horses and is a successful BE coach. One of the strengths of Bruce is his recognised ability to mentor & develop young riders at any stage of their career. Bruce holds BHSI and BE Level 3 coaching qualifications.
Aston Stud is a modern, well-equipped yard which is centrally located. Witney, Oxfordshire
We have a small team of quality event horses ranging from 3yo to 4* competing BE, BSJA and FEI. The variety of ages of horses competing means staff will get an opportunity to compete their own horse and/or groom at competitions on a very regular basis. Additional riding is possible based on the skill level of the candidate.
The livery side of the business is crucial to the business model, and we need someone who understands and respects that dynamic.
The package will include a salary negotiable on skill set. This is a "live in" position in a well-appointed onsite 3-bedroom flat. (Employment contract in line with BGA guidance & all government regulations)
Own horse is welcome. Regular development focused tuition will be available.
All positive and motivated candidates considered. Good references essential.
